Apparel Production Machinist Course Assets
For me, this was the crowning jewel of my work with the ASU CareerCatalyst (CC) team! It was one of the most “boutique” courses we designed while I was there and was part of a set of 3 courses which made up the Transforming Fashion Manufacturing program. I was the primary visual designer on all 3 of these courses so all of the videos, job aids and other course graphics were designed by me in collaboration with the rest of the team and third party vendors. For Apparel Production Machinist video production, I helped plan each shot and oversaw filming of the instructional videos as well as edited many of them myself and created detailed storyboards and the illustrations for all of them. I designed all of the job aids/infographics for the course and set the visual style for them in accordance with ASU and CC brand standards.

Video storyboard for filming
This is the first 10 slides of the storyboard I created for the video above before we started filming. This became the basis for getting all the right footage for the video!
Video storyboard for editing
This is the first 10 slides of the storyboard I created for the video above after we had filmed but before editing. This became the basis for getting the voice over and editing the video properly!
Job aids
This gallery shows a sample job aid that I designed for this course. Job aids are documents which can be downloaded or printed by learners to keep on hand as a reference or process sheet. I designed 16 job aids for this course and the one below was one of the more complex.
Course page headers
Each page of the course has a header which appears at the top of the screen and features the course title and page title. This is the design I created for this course and then implemented each page title to the design. Below is a sample.
